Michigan Tax Rebate Status 2024 – Tax Credit Payment Dates

Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that working families tax credit cheques will be sent to Michigan families beginning on February 13, 2024. In Michigan, these payments would equate to an extra $550 for almost 700,000 households.

In addition to the Earned Income Tax Credit, this program replaces the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and provides additional funding.

Every working family can save money and receive tax credits worth up to $2,080 under this program. Prior to the new amendment, Michigan’s EITC was only 6% of the Federal EITC; now, it is 30%.
