To help residents afford e-bikes, Minnesota is launching the Electric-Assisted Bicycle (e-Bike) Rebate program.
Beginning on July 1, 2024, the program will reimburse 50%–75% of the purchase price of eligible e-bikes, up to a maximum of $1,500, depending on the buyer’s income. For 2024 and 2025, the total annual budget for rebates is limited to $2 million.
Benefits Of MN E-Bike Rebate Program
The purpose of the rebates is to lower the price of buying a new e-bike from a participating store. The program will get $2 million annually from the Legislature in 2024 and 2025.
The savings span from 50 to 75 percent of the purchase price of a brand-new e-bike plus approved add-ons like a lock, helmet, or fluorescent apparel. $1,500 is the maximum rebate. The rebate amount is determined by your income.
Eligibility Criteria For MN E-bike Rebate Program
Candidates must have lived in Minnesota both this year and the previous year, and must be at least 15 years old.
It is not possible for you to have been declared as a dependent in 2023. Individuals receive rebates, thus multiple qualifying family members may submit applications.
