REET 2024 Notification – Exam Date, REET Registration & Eligibilty

The REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam notification for the year 2024 will be released soon by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER).

Notification for the REET exam is expected to be released in the month of June 2024.

What Is The REET Examination?

The REET exam is conducted for those candidates who want to get appointed as Primary or Upper Primary Teachers in any government school in Rajasthan. There are two levels in the exam: Level 1 and Level 2.

According to choice, candidates can apply for a single paper or both the papers. Upon passing the exams of Level 1 or Level 2, candidates will be provided with a TET certificate. This will mark their eligibility to participate in the Mains exam of REET.

Notification For The REET Exam 

Notification for the registration of the REET and the exam date is yet to be announced by the BSER. It is estimated to be announced by June 2024. Once the notification is released, candidates can register themselves for the exams.

Registration window will be open for approximately four weeks. If the registration notification is announced on time, then Exams for REET are expected to be conducted in the third quarter of 2024.

Fees For REET Registration

As mentioned, exams are conducted in Level 1 and Level 2. Candidates who are interested can apply for both levels. To complete their registration candidates need to make fee payments. Fees for a single paper are considered ₹500 and for both paper fees, it is ₹ 750.

Mode Of REET Examination

The REET exam will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates will be provided with the OMR sheet in the exam hall to fill multiple-choice questions.

The time duration for both levels will be 2 hours 30 minutes. Level 1 is expected to be conducted in the morning session while Level 2 exam in the evening session.

Eligibility criteria for REET exams

There is no minimum age limit for the candidates:-

  • Qualifications for Level 1: candidates must have completed the Intermediate Exam with 50% marks and pursued a 2-year DElEd/4-year BElEd course.
  • Qualification for Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks, along with bachelor’s degree candidates required to have 2 year BEd/ 2 year DElEd/ 4 year BElEd/ 4 year BA/BSc. BEd (ITEP) course.
