Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will most probably release notification for judiciary services by the end of 2024. This notification will be for those candidates who want to get appointed as Civil Judges (JD) under the jurisdiction of the HC of Judicature at Allahabad.

Exam Dates For UPPSC Judiciary Post
UPPSC is yet to release the vacant post of Civil judge ( junior division). The exam date is also yet to be announced by the authority. Once after the release of the application, candidates will be required to register for the exam.
For registration candidates need to fill in their details and attach all the required documents.
Fees For Registration
General/OBC candidates need to make a payment of ₹125, for SC/ST it is ₹65 and for Ex-Servicemen, PwD it is ₹25.
Eligibility Criteria For UPPSC Judiciary Post
Candidates must be aware of the criteria required by the UPPSC. For detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, candidates must go through the notification brochure on the official website.
- Qualification: The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized university. Also, candidates must enroll themselves as Advocate under the Advocate Act 1961, or equivalent.
- Age limit: for candidates age limit should range between 22 to 35 years.
An upper age relaxation of 5 years is provided to OBC/ SC/ST.
Exam Pattern For UPPSC Judiciary Exam
Exams will be conducted in 3 phases through offline mode.

- Interview
The prelims paper will have an objective question paper. There will be 2 papers in the exam. Paper 1 will have 150 questions and paper 2 will have 300 questions. Each question contains 1 mark. And 0.33 marks will be deducted for each negative answer given.
The main examination will be a descriptive type exam. There will be a total of 6 papers.
- Paper 1 – General Knowledge, Marks 200
- Paper 2 – English Language, marks 100
- Paper 3 – Hindi Language, marks 100
- Paper 4 – Law I (Substantive Law), marks 200
- Paper 5 – Law II (Procedure and Evidence), marks 200
- Paper 6 – Law III (Penal, Revenue, and Local Laws), marks 200
Interview: students qualified in the main examination will be called for an interview by the authority. It will be a face-to-face interaction between the examiner and candidates.
