The Gujarat High Court has recently released a notification for the vacancies of stenographers and translators posts. Candidates interested in these posts are requested to visit the official website of the Gujarat High Court. Online application for these posts started on 06th May 2024. The last date to apply for the form is 26 May 2024.
Vacancies In Gujarat High Court
According to the notification released by the Gujarat High Court, there are 16 vacancies for the post of translator and for the post of stenographer, there are 244 vacancies.
For the post of stenographer, the notification elaborated that the vacancies are for Grade II and Grade III stenographers.
Qualification Criteria Required For The Applicants
For Translator
- Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university
- Certificate in basic computer knowledge
For Stenographer
- Bachelor’s degree regardless of stream from a recognised university.
- English short-hand speed for Grade II, which is 120 words per minute.
- For Grade III, stenographers’ short-hand speed should be 100 words per minute.
Qualifying Age Limit For The Applicants
For Translator
- The candidate’s age limit should range from 18 to 35 years.
For Stenographer Grade-II
- The age limit is from 21 years to 40 years.
For Stenographer Grade III
- The age limit ranges from a minimum of 21 years to a maximum of 35 years.
Age Relaxation Provided To Different Categories Are As Follows
- Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/EWS/women.
- 10 years age relaxation will be given to PWD candidates
- Ex-servicemen candidates will get a relaxation of 3 years.
- Employees of the state government will get an age relaxation of 5 years
Registration Fees For The Application
For general category fees is ₹1500
For SC/ST/EWS/PH/Ex-serviceman registration fees are ₹ 750.
Salaries Provided To The Hired Candidates
Translators of the Gujarat High Court will be provided a monthly pay ranging from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12, 400.
Grade II Stenographers will be paid a monthly amount ranging somewhere between Rs.44,900 to 1,42,400.
Grade III Stenographers will be paid an amount ranging from Rs.39,900 to 1,26,600.
Exam Pattern For The Candidates
The selection of candidates will be done in a three-phase exam.
- Elimination test ( objective type)
- Stenography/ Skill test
- Interview
Exams for the post of translator and stenographer will be held on 16th June 2024. The skill test will happen in July, and this Interview will be done in August/ September.
