KPSC PDO Recruitment 2024 – Eligibility, Vacancy

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has officially released online applications for the Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) post. Application is made available on the website from 15th April 2024 to 15th May 2024. Interested candidates are asked to fill out the form of PDO within the given period. Before applying for the post, candidates are asked to go through the notification brochure.

Eligibility Criteria For The Candidates

The Commission will hire those candidates who are capable of observing and supervising the Gram Panchayat.

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a UGC-recognized institution.
  • The age of the candidates should be between 18 to 35 years.
  • For certain categories, there is some age relaxation.
  • 5 years upper age relaxation for  SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates,
  • 3 years upper age relaxation for Cat-2A/2B/3A/3B candidates,
  • 10 years relaxation for PWD/Widow candidates.

Steps To Fill The Application Form Of PDO

  • Eligible candidates need to visit the site https://kpsc.kar.nic.in/for the application form filling.
  • Click on the option ‘Apply Online for various notifications’ and you will be redirected to another webpage.
  • Next, click on the option ‘Panchayat Development Officer [HK/RPC]’ and the next page will open.
  • Register yourself by filling in the required data.
  • After registration, log in with your username and password.
  • Fill in all the asked details and submit the required documents.
  • After that pay application fees and submit the form.

Vacancies In The KPSC PDO Post

Karnataka Public Service Commission has officially released the advertisement regarding the vacancies.

There is a total vacancy of 247 posts, out of this 97 posts are for Hyderabad – Karnataka, and the remaining 150 posts are for Residual Parent Cadre.

Application Fee For KPSC PDO Post

  • General category candidates are required to pay the amount of  ₹600.
  • Candidates who belong to Category 2A/2B/3A/3B, are required to ₹300.
  • Ex-servicemen candidates will have to submit an amount of ₹50.
  • SC/ST/Cat-I/PWD applicants are exempted from paying fees amount.

Salary Provided To Hired Candidates

Hired candidates will receive a monthly salary of an amount ranging from ₹37,900/- to ₹70,850/-.

Selection Procedure For KPSC PDO Post

There are two tests, one is a competitive exam and the other is a Kannada language test.

Candidates will be hired on the basis of their proficiency in the local language and their knowledge and aptitude will be tested in the competitive exam.
